Last night I stopped in a pharmacy to fill a prescription. I was told it would be a few minutes, so I went looking around the store to pass the time. And I found the proximity of the liquor section to the pharmacy counter interesting.
If a place like this sells drugs to help us get well, why do they also sell the stuff that will kill us? This is not a sermonizing question, as my opinions are that people can drink whatever they want to drink. But liquor stores don’t sell meds, so why do pharmacies get to sell booze? Why not let each type of business work a separate side of the street?
A little consistency would be a nice thing, wouldn’t it?
