Thanks for coming by my blog! I write about things that grab my fancy from time to time. Once I’ve written about something, it’s out there for anyone and everyone to see. The thoughts themselves can then wither and die, but at least I recorded them in some way before it happens.
Giving myself this outlet is one of the best things I’ve ever done. If you have a blog, hopefully you know what I mean. And if you don’t have a blog, why not start one of your own? I can tell you from experience that it’s a not a waste of time, at all. It’s been very rewarding, in a personal sense. I’ve written the equivalent of several novels here, in small little chunks, for all the world to see.
I try to include a picture with each post, because it’s important to give people something to look at and/or think about. I saw the one above in a trophy case at an ice skating rink in suburban Chicago. I’m sure that nobody else would ever think to put this image onto the internet, where it will presumably live forever.
This image speaks to me because some days we’re like the guy in the air, soaring for a brief second and hoping we can land safely. And other days we’re like the guy on the ground in the referee’s shirt, wondering how we ever got to the place we are in life. I know these feelings, and I try to speak to them both in whatever ways that I can.
Feel free to check out my social media accounts on Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, or Pinterest. If you’re here to check out my other writings online or in the pre-internet world, please feel free to do that too.
If you see something worth commenting on here, please drop me an email at rlincolnharris(at)gmail(dot)com. I’m always glad to know that someone is reading what I do here.
Gratitude makes life better, so many thanks for coming by!
